Building exterior wall insulation materials have brought a series of problems while reducing building energy consumption. Among them, the most important fire hazard is building exterior wall insulation materials, and organic insulation materials are easy to burn. The building exterior wall insulation system using organic thermal insulation materials can easily cause the fire to spread rapidly to the entire building in case of fire. That needs to detect the burning behaviour of building exterior wall insulation materials. What is the test method for the burning performance of building exterior wall insulation materials?
Test equipment for burning performance of building exterior wall insulation materials
The burning behavior test of building exterior wall insulation materials uses the building material burning thermal value test apparatus and the building material product Single Burning Item test machine (SBI) to conduct experimental research on the burning performance of commonly used thermal insulation materials. The test instrument for the thermal value of burning of building materials is shown in Figure 1, which is mainly used to measure the thermal value of burning of building materials. The thermal value of burning is the energy released by the complete burning of 1 kg of material. It is a characteristic of the material and has nothing to do with the use state or size of the material. It is often used to evaluate the potential fire load of building materials. The single burning item test equipment of building material products is shown in Figure 2, which can obtain the propagation on the long wing of the sample during the burning process of the sample(LFS), the burning growth rate index(FIGRA), the heat release rate within 600s(THP), the smoke production rate within 600s(SPR), and the smoke generation rate index(SMOGRA) and other parameters. The important parameters that reflect the burning performance of building material products can be obtained through these two test devices, and they are also important indicators for the classification of the burning performance of building material products.

Select phenolic board, polystyrene insulation board, flame-retardant polystyrene, XPS extruded board, flame-retardant extruded board, polyurethane foam insulation material, flame-retardant polyurethane insulation material, rubber-plastic insulation material as test samples. Each group of sample samples was made into 5 groups of powder samples. It is used to test the calorific value of burning; each group of test samples is made into three groups of samples with a long wing of 1 000 mm x 1 500 mm and a short wing of 500 mm x1500 mm. And draw a marking line at 50 mm and 100 mm from the bottom edge of each group of samples for the test of the burning performance of the individual.
