This test applies to the thermal protective performance of single or multilayer materials, used for evaluating the thermal protective materials of personnel exposed to convective and radiant heat hazards. It is not applicable to materials that are non-flame-retardant, or those that melt, drip, or degrade when exposed to high temperatures
