1. Scope of application:
The test device for carbon black content is applicable to GB/T2951.41-2008 "Common test methods for insulating and sheathing materials of electric and optical cables — Part 41: Methods specific to polyethylene and polypropylene compounds —Resistance to environment stress cracking — Measurement of the melt flow index —Carbon black and/or mineral filler content measurement in polyethylene by direct combustion — Measurement of carbon black content by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) — Assessment of carbon black dispersion in polyethylene using a microscope" test standard. 2. Main parameters:
2.1 Burning boat:
2.1.1 Material: Quartz tube;
2.1.2 Inner diameter and length of quartz tube: Φ30×(400±50) mm;
2.1.3 Equipped with a plug with temperature measurement and a tube for nitrogen supply.
2.1.2 The air flow rate of the flow meter: nitrogen with an oxygen content of less than 0.5% passes through the combustion tube at a flow rate of (1.7±0.3) L/min, and maintains this flow rate during the heating process.

2.2 Tube furnace:
2.2.1 The tube furnace is the characteristic Hough type;
2.2.2 The effective length of the heating zone of the tube furnace: 300 mm;
2.2.3 Heating rate of tube furnace: heating to 300°C~350°C within 10min, then heating to 450°C for 10min, heating to (600±5)°C after the third 10min. Then at this temperature keep it down for 10min;
2.3 Burning boat:
2.3.1 Material: Fused quartz tube is used.
2.3.2 Specifications: inner diameter is 75mm long, 25mm wide and 8.5mm deep.
2.3.3 Feeding method of the combustion boat: using bar magnet and platinum wire pulling method
