The Impact Test Apparatus for Soft Plastic Brittle Temperature is a device used to determine the brittle temperature of soft plastics, which is the temperature at which the material becomes brittle and more likely to crack or break under impact. In this test, plastic samples are cooled to progressively lower temperatures and subjected to an impact force. The test apparatus records the temperature at which the material fails by cracking or shattering.
The equipment is composed of a refrigeration compressor main body, a heating device, an electronic control box, a cooling tank, a cooling medium circulation system, and an automatic alarm device. The refrigeration compressor works continuously. When the temperature is close to the set temperature, the heating device in the cooling tank starts to provide heat in proportion to balance the excess cold generated by the refrigeration system to achieve the purpose of constant temperature. Stirring can make the cooling medium in the cooling tank circulate continuously to make the temperature uniform. The impact device is designed to clamp the sample in a cantilever beam type. Under the condition that the holder does not deform, each sample should be clamped stably and firmly. The impact head moves in a direction perpendicular to the upper surface of the sample, and impacts the sample at a test line speed of 2.0±0.2m/s, and the moving speed remains unchanged within at least 6mm after the impact. Care should be taken to ensure sufficient impact energy in order to achieve the specified impact velocity during and after the impact. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the number of impact specimens per test.
