What is the Ventilation And Rain Resistance Testing Machine for Building Louvers?


ZONSKY Ventilation and Rain Resistance Testing Machine for Building Louvers is an apparatus water penetration resistance of louvers in compliance with AS4740 standards. This system simulates wind-driven rain conditions and measures louver effectiveness in restricting water ingress while maintaining optimal ventilation rates. Equipped with precision airflow sensors, calibrated rain spray mechanisms, and high-resolution data logging, the machine provides accurate performance metrics, ensuring that louvers meet regulatory requirements for both ventilation efficiency and rain defense in varied environmental conditions.


Applicable to laboratory testing of ventilation and rainproof performance of building ventilation shutters. The test items include ventilation performance, static rainproof performance, and dynamic rainproof performance. The test object is limited to the building ventilation shutter specimen itself, and does not involve the connection between the building ventilation shutter and the enclosure structure

1. Equipment composition: It consists of a wind simulation system, an environmental chamber, a rainwater collection box, and an air flow measurement system. Overall composition of the testing equipment


2. Wind simulation system:


2.1 Air flow measurement box: The installation diameter is 2100mm long and 1100mm high;


2.2 Flow stabilization device: It is composed of three layers of flow stabilization nets, in which the ventilation areas of the flow stabilization nets are 60%, 50%, and 45% respectively, and the spacing between each layer of flow stabilization nets is 50 mm. The single-point flow velocity of plane Y is less than 1.25 times the average flow velocity of the plane.


2.3 Pressure difference measurement:


2.3.1 Use differential pressure gauge for measurement;
