When the building partition is subjected to the fire resistance test according to the fire resistance test method specified in ISO 834-1, the water spray impact test shall be additionally carried out as required.
The Water Spray Impact Test Apparatus is designed to evaluate the water resistance and durability of materials and components when exposed to high-pressure water sprays. This apparatus subjects test specimens to controlled water impact forces, simulating conditions such as heavy rain or firefighting sprays. When the building partition is subjected to the fire resistance test according to the fire resistance test method specified in ISO 834-1, the water spray impact test shall be additionally carried out as required.
In the actual fire fighting and rescue, the building partition components may be impacted by the water spray of the fire hose, thus increasing the possibility of premature damage to the integrity of the building partition components. Therefore, we can consider its ability to resist the impact of water spray when designing building partition components. The types of building partition components include firewalls, fire partition walls, fire doors, fire shutters, fire windows, floor slabs, etc. When the above-mentioned components are subjected to the fire resistance test according to the fire resistance test method specified in ISO 834-1, a water spray impact test may be added as required.
