Description
In compliance with:
- UL 2556-2015 – Wire and Cable Test Methods (Section 7.8 and Figure 13)
- UL 758-2016 – Standard for Appliance Wiring Material (Section 99)
Test process
This equipment determines the thermal deformation degree of materials like plastics and wire rubber. The test process involves:
- Placing the sample freely in the testing apparatus for 30 minutes at a specific temperature.
- Sandwiching the sample between parallel plates, applying a specified load, and maintaining the same temperature for another 30 minutes.
- Measuring the thickness difference before and after heating.
- Calculating the deformation rate by dividing the thickness difference by the original thickness.
