Horizontal Burning Test Apparatus (HBTA): is used to test the combustion of plastic samples by placing them in a horizontal position. Usually includes a combustion chamber and ignition system.
Vertical Burning Test Apparatus : Used for placing plastic samples in vertical position for burning test. Typically consists of a combustion chamber, ignition system and sample holder.
Horizontal Burning Test: Plastic samples are placed in a horizontal position, ignited by the ignition system, and parameters of the burning process, such as burning rate and duration, are recorded.
Vertical Burning Test: Plastic samples are placed in a vertical position, ignited by an ignition system, and the parameters of the burning process, such as flame extension length and burning performance, are recorded.
Burning Rate: The burning rate of the plastic sample during the combustion process, usually expressed in terms of the surface area burned per unit time.
Flame Spread Length : The flame propagation performance of the material is evaluated based on the maximum length of flame extension from the surface of the plastic sample.

3. Main performance parameters:
3.1 Combustion box:
3.1.1 Box: volume ≥ 0.5m³, it’s processed and formed by CNC machine tools, and the arc shape is beautiful and generous.
3.1.2 The top of the box is equipped with a strong extraction system, which discharges the exhaust gas to the outdoors when the test is completed. During the test, the system was stopped.
3.2 Burning torch:
3.2.1 The Bunsen burning power of this torch is 50W, which fully meets the requirements of ASTM D5207.
3.2.2 The inner diameter of the crater: Ф9.5±0.1mm. Steam outlet: Ф0.9±0.03mm. The height of the nozzle from the air inlet is 100±10mm. It meets the requirements of ASTM D5025.
3.2.3 Torch angle: horizontal is 90 degrees. Vertical is 45 degrees.
3.2.4 Flame height: 15mm~45mm, it can be adjusted arbitrarily.
