Flame Retardant Test Apparatus is used to test the flame retardant properties of hanging fabrics such as curtains. NFPA 701:2004 Test Method "Standard methods of fire tests for flame propagation of textiles and films".
1. Scope of application:
It is used to test the flame retardant properties of hanging fabrics such as curtains. It's applicable to single or multiple layers of fabrics, but not to fabrics with a gram weight greater than 700g/㎡(21 oz/yd²).

3.1 Burning box
3.1.1 Specifications: width 675mm, depth 500mm, height 700mm.
3.1.2 Structure: It is made of 12mm thick Marinite mineral board (calcium silicate board), and the exterior is covered with 1.2 thick 304# stainless steel. The front is an open test box. The inner surface of the test box must be painted with a smooth black paint.
3.1.3 Complies with (NFPA) NFPA 701:2004 Chapter 5 requirements.
3.2 Burner: Conical-shaped laboratory burner of the Meker Burner, capable of 10,500 BUT/Hour. Complies with (NFPA) NFPA 701:2004, 5.3.3;
3.3 Needle strip for sample installation: 9mm stainless steel strip, 190mm long, with a steel needles of diameter of 0.7mm and a length of 11mm.
3.4 Wire brush: manufactured from bronze compliant (NFPA) NFPA 701:2004-5.9.
3.5 Sample holder: Equipped with 5 stainless steel clamps.
3.6 Equipped with 5 stainless steel standard sample holders.
3.7 Equipped with standard burning wire 1 roll.
