ZONSKY Electric Wire and Optical Cable Heat Release Tester is specialized equipment used to assess the fire performance of electric wires and optical cables by measuring their heat release rate during combustion. 1. The composition of the instrument are combustion chamber, fume collection hood, air supply system, standard ladder, ignition source, smoke exhaust pipe section, sampling and measurement pipe section, smoke density optical test system, gas analyzer, data acquisition and software processing system, computer control system, combustion gas control system and smoke exhaust system, etc.
2. Combustion chamber:
2.1 Test box: It is a self-supporting box with a width of (1000±50) mm, a depth of (2000±50) mm and a height of (4000±50) mm. There is a smoke outlet on the top of the test box where the steel ladder is installed, with a width of 300±30mm and a length of 1000±100mm. The rear wall and both sides of the test box are made of thermal insulation materials with a heat transfer coefficient of about 0.7W.m-2.K-1. It meets the requirements of clause 5.1 of GB/T 18380.31.
2.2 The material of the test box: It adopts square steel structure, the inner wall is 1.5mm thick stainless steel and being brushed with black anti-corrosion paint. The heat transfer coefficient of 0.7W•m-2•K-1 thermal insulation cotton is covered on the steel plate with a thickness of 65mm, the outer wall is made of 1.5mm steel plate, and the steel plate is painted with the paint of the color required by the customer. It's equipped with a steel ladder to the top of the combustion chamber, and installed a square pass barrier on the top of the chamber to ensure that it is convenient for the roof to maintain equipment and improve safety. It complies with the requirements of clause 5.1 of GB/T 18380.31;
2.3 A door is installed on the front of the test box, and there is a tempered glass window on the door, which can observe the indoor test situation at any time. During the test, the door was closed and sealed to prevent harmful substances from combustion from polluting the indoor air.
